The next Membership Forum
Ready for Work? Where do I start?
Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria receives many calls from family members and people with a mental illness asking for help and advice about finding and keeping a job. The most frequently asked question is, “Where do I start?”
This Forum will talk about the types of support available, what to expect from your service provider, and what kind of jobs are currently out there for people with a mental illness.
Gafa Tuiloma (Manager, MI Recruitment Services) together with his team will be talking to members about these issues, together with a speaker from Centrelink (Darebin office), who will be presenting on the impact of work on the Disability Support Pension, and explain the Newstart Allowance system.
